As a computer scientist I would like to use my ability to make a difference in the life of my people, the Papuans or as I call them the Papuanese. I am a native Papuan, born and raised in Papua. Went up to Junior high in Papua afterwards, I went to the United States where I completed high school and college with a major in computer science and a minor in accounting. Now I am in a graduate school at Azuza Pacific University in Southern California. During most summers I returned to Papua to visit and to work for the Freeport McMoran gold mining company which sponsored my education through Indokis .

I feel a big obligation to give something of what I have learned back to my homeland. I want to be a positive public role model for young Papuanese. One way that I can do that is through the website kualakencana.com which I have designed and built over 5 years. In it I offer a positive portrayal of my people, their customs and history.

Through this website I am able to continue to get my messages through to the Papuanese people, especially the next generation, and to tourists who may have been discouraged from visiting by reports in the press of political disputes and discrimination.
